I am looking at getting a better laptop for plc programming am having trouble running TIA. Does anyone have recommendations

Thanks to all I have bought a Lenovo Legion 5P it does the job so much better and I can now run the tank simulation without it crashing

Consider the new DELL XPS 13, I`m using with TIA PORTAL V16, works very nice (16GB RAM and 1TB SSD)

buy a laptop with R7 4800H, 2x8GB of ram, an nvme ssd (like lenovo gaming 3) then u are good to go

I cannot recommend anything. Its just TIA that is the problem.

My company got me a Intel Xeon powered laptop after intense testing, claiming they really got me a rocket this time so I better not complain like I always do.

Bottom line is TIA is still lagging. 😀

Any laptop you liked visually and functionally with minor hardware onboard as follows: I5, 16GB RAM, SSD, no discrete graphic card.

That's enough for comfortable work with opened Step, WinCC and other stuff simultaneously.
